SaaS Companies to watch out for in 2023 - Part 3
We are back once again with our third edition of what SaaS companies to watch out for in 2023. We sat down with Clinks, Sprintmodo and Sunny Numbers, all in-house members here at Republic of Work.
Throughout this blog you will get an insight into each founder's reasoning as to why they decided to create their company and you will also get to know exactly what each company does. So if you’re someone that is looking to make that step into creating your own startup or if you’re an investor looking for a new opportunity, then this is the blog for you.
First up we have Clinks - Ireland’s first on-demand, drinks delivery service. The reason behind the creation of Clinks was that there is no online solution for ‘responsible service of alcohol’ and also no specialised app-based product that specialises in the on-demand service of alcohol. The founder, Andrew Scannell had always wanted to start his own company but it was a case of finding the correct niche and right opportunity. We think that it’s now safe to say that he has found that with Clinks. They have the best of both worlds by having both a B2C and B2B element.Currently, they are at their MVP stage with functional operations and currently trading.Clinks is continuing to grow month-over-month and is engaging with new retailers on a regular basis.
Up next we have Sprintmodo - a corporate team optimisation company that makes teamwork better, by optimising Work Design, Technology and Culture. The founder, Tom O’Brien wanted to help drive the momentum in teams and to help more teams do what the best teams do, by giving team members satisfaction from their work.Tom realised that the high-performing teams do better and feel better, and that is what led to the creation of Sprintmodo. They give teams data-backed, digital solutions for efficiency, effectiveness and job satisfaction. They are a B2B company who already run their team momentum process for high team performance with clients, including blue chip multinationals including Johnson & Johnson and smaller companies in Ireland, the UK and across EMEA.They have tested an MVP for their active e-learning modules and they have most recently launched their new website that allows them to showcase what they can do for teams.
Finally, we have Sunny Numbers, who help optimise the upskilling journey of tech professionals, with an initial focus on data and AI skills. The founder, Cleidi Hearn has a deep passion for empowering tech professionals who struggle to keep up to date with the evolution of technology. Having witnessed firsthand the frustrations that many face, she wanted to equip individuals/companies with the tools they need to thrive in the dynamic world of technology. Since Covid, the digital transformation has taken off, meaning that the demand for upskilling in tech fields has hugely increased, especially within data and AI.This perfectly aligns with Sunny Numbers mission to help empower tech professionals and to bridge the skill gap. They are a B2B company who have managed to build and pitch their MVP to potential customers in order to try secure trials.
It is clear to see that throughout 2023 the SaaS sector has continued to advance and expand, with a new batch of game changing startups emerging. We hope that our selection of companies will provide you with some inspiration to follow in the footsteps of these innovative companies. Given the abundance of talent within this industry, we are excited to see what the rest of 2023 will look like.
